Moped rally in Ennetmoos

The moped rally in Ennetmoos takes place every two years. Moped racers of both sexes compete in three categories on a circuit that resembles a motocross track. Two of the categories are all about speed, but the third gives free reign to the riders’ creativity on a theme of their choosing.

Inspired by local folk music, the event first took place in 2000 and was downstream of a nationwide moped revivial celebrating moped youth culture and passing it down to the next generation. The rally is a cross-generational folk festival that offers rock and folk music performances and draws around 30,000 visitors of all ages from throughout the country. An organising committee and around 1,200 make the rally possible. The event’s brand ambassador is artist Kari Kreidler, who enjoys a cult following as a musician and a moderator.
